Competition Development Manager

Emily is responsible for the development of our competition pathway from local to international level.

This includes developing our single sport national competition calendar, as well as the management and organisational support for the GB Teams attending international competitions, such as European and World Games.

Emily first became involved with Special Olympics GB in 2006 when she joined as the Co-ordinator of Special Olympics St Albans. After succeeding to make this post a full-time role, Emily went travelling and along the way became involved with Special Olympics Australia. On her return to the UK, Emily worked part-time for Special Olympics GB before taking up the role as Sports and Services Manager in January 2012 which later changed title to the current Competition Development Manager role.

Emily was born in Hertfordshire and has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science as well as a Masters in Sports Science from the University of Essex.
