After retiring, Ossie moved into football management and coached teams all over the world. In 2010 RTE Sport hired Ossie as part of their group of analysts covering the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Ossie co-chairs the Special Olympics Global Football initiative, which aims to use the visibility and reach of the world’s most popular sport to generate greater public awareness, acceptance and respect for people with learning disabilities.

Ossie became a Special Olympics Global Football Ambassador and a Special Olympics GB Ambassador in 2009.
