Corporate Giving
Special Olympics GB transforms the lives of people with an intellectual (learning) disability by giving them a place
to belong and the opportunity to achieve their potential. But for every Special Olympics athlete, there are thousands more
that we haven’t reached yet.
Special Olympics offers unique opportunities for companies wishing to support sports activities for intellectual (learning) disabled adults
and children within local communities and at a non-elite level. We are also able to team up with our sister organisations
in Ireland or across the world to offer UK-wide and global partnerships.
We offer flexible packages that allow organisations to strategically select where to support Special Olympics GB – on a national, regional or local basis – and how, whether through event sponsorship, employee or customer fundraising, cause related marketing, funding or employee involvement.
Through a corporate partnership with Special Olympics GB, companies can:
• Make a difference to the lives of over 8,000 intellectual (learning) disabled people in Great Britain – and thousands more with more support!
• Have local stores or offices linked to our local Special Olympics clubs for grassroots partnerships
• Develop relationships and support/adopt athletes from local regions
• Benefit from an experienced and dedicated fundraising account management team
• Expect invitations to an assortment of competitions, events, receptions and ceremonies
• Enjoy the potential involvement of our celebrity Ambassadors in high profile fundraising activities
• Associate with an established, high profile global organisation, present in 170 countries, with a powerful social message.
• Have a direct impact in developing the charity and increasing our profile.
There are many ways companies can work in partnership with us:
• Annual or multi-year partnerships (local, regional and national)
• High profile sponsorship opportunities (we reached 95 million people nationwide during a week-long PR and media campaign for our 2009 National Summer Games)
• Employee involvement / volunteering (through creation of a Team “Company Name” identity, with full training and support provided)
• Employee and customer fundraising initiatives
• Taking part in
fundraising events
• Donating pro-bono services in areas like marketing, PR and fundraising
