Volunteers

"My first week as a volunteer left me with a mixture of feelings...but most of all a real sense of doing something worthwhile. Would I recommend people volunteer for Special Olympics? Absolutely!" Christy

Volunteers play a pivotal role in the functioning of Special Olympics GB. We rely on a workforce of over 3000+ volunteers to support and enable the delivery of our National Programme facilitating access to year round training and competitions for both adults and children with intellectual disabilities.

Where a need is identified, Special Olympics GB will endeavour to offer role-specific volunteer training or signpost volunteers to training opportunities. We are committed to developing the volunteer experience which, in turn, contributes to the growth and development of the National Programme of Sports Training and Competition.

At Special Olympics GB we are looking for energetic volunteers to take on roles essential to the smooth operation of our clubs and events. We are committed to recruiting a diverse and vibrant team of Volunteers who reflect the communities in which we live.
