Kathryn McColl is an education specialist with over 10 years experience in creating and delivering education strategies and programmes for sports bodies and major events.
Kathryn is a Consultant at EdComs where she specialises in helping clients from across the sport, culture, corporate and charity sectors to develop and deliver programmes which have an educational and social impact.
Prior to EdComs, she worked in the Education team at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) from 2005 – 2012 where she was responsible for leading on the design and implementation of LOCOG’s international education and sports participation programmes. She was also responsible for championing diversity and inclusion across all LOCOG education programmes.
Kathryn was also part of the London 2012 Bid team from 2004 – 2005.
Previously, Kathryn worked for the (then) Department for Education and Skills where she worked on writing and implementing school workforce reform policy.
She joined the Special Olympics GB Board in 2013 and has particular interest in supporting the charity’s education and youth engagement activities.
Kathryn lives in South West London with her husband, a special needs teacher, and daughter.
