Phil Nathan MBE

Born and raised near Tottenham in North London, Phil left college at the age of 18 to work in the “big city” as a messenger with a very large firm of stockbrokers. 40 years later, Phil is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and for the past 34 years he has worked for Charles Stanley Stockbrokers, now as a Director.

Phil is active in numerous professional and community organisations. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Charity Steward of The Stock Exchange Veterans, a Board Member of the Stock Exchange Benevolent Fund, Chairman of Trustees for The MedicAlert Foundation and a Freeman of the City of London.

Phil has been heavily involved with Lions Clubs International since 1982, holding many roles including a two-year term as an International Director from 1999-2001. Phil was appointed back to the International Board for a further year as an adviser to the Finance and Headquarters Committee for 2002-2003. His services to Lions Clubs International were royally recognised in 2001 when he was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Phil joined the Board of Special Olympic GB in 2008.

Phil lives in London with wife Heidi-Anne and daughters Francesca and Hannah.
