Six Top Tips on How to Fundraise for Special Olympics GB
Many thanks for signing up to take part in the Special Olympics Unified Mile on Sunday, May 26.
We know that you are keen to raise some money for our Charity, but maybe you’re not sure what to do… Don’t worry – we are here to help you!
Knowing where to start is often the most difficult part, so here you have some handy hints on what to do:
- Set your Goal
Just as you will be setting goals to complete your challenge, it’s vital to set a fundraising target.
- Create your own fundraising page
You can easily set up a fundraising page by clicking HERE.
- Make your fundraising personal. Tell your story!
People will be more engaged if they know your story. Let them know why you're taking on this challenge and why you're supporting Special Olympics Great Britain.
- Engage those close to you
Get your family, friends and colleagues on board. Encourage them to donate and help you reach your fundraising goal.
- Engage your employer
Many companies offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by ‘matching’ the money raised. To find out whether your employer offers match funding, you’ll need to speak directly with your HR department.
- Get Social (it's FREE)
Use social media to promote your fundraising and keep everyone up-to-date with your successes.
Or, if all that is too much work, please donate directly to Special Olympics Great Britain HERE. Your support will make a genuine difference to our athletes.
