Special Olympics Great Britain is delighted to announce Cinta Esmel, has been appointed as the new Director of Fundraising with immediate effect.
Cinta will be working to further develop innovative partnerships that engage and excite Special Olympics Great Britain’s donors and overall support the vital work of Special Olympics Great Britain.
Immediately prior to her appointment, Cinta worked as Director of Fundraising for GambleAware. Her previous experience includes fundraising for the Mayor’s Fund for London, the Lord’s Taverners and Oval House Theatre.
Michelle Carney, CEO Special Olympics Great Britain said: “We are absolutely delighted that Cinta has decided to join us. Fundraising is a fundamental building block for our movement and with Cinta’s experience and wealth of knowledge, we are excited to see what can be achieved.
Cinta Esmel said: “I am thrilled to join Special Olympics Great Britain. I’m looking forward to working with our existing partners and at the same time extending our reach and building new relationships as well. My aim is to make sure that more people with intellectual disabilities are able to reap the benefits of playing sport.”
Cinta is a fully qualified member of the Institute of Fundraising (IoF) and Associate member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS). She holds a Master’s Degree in Philanthropic Studies as well as a first-class degree and postgraduate studies in Arts Management.
Cinta’s first challenge will be to work on our first ever Special Olympics Unified Mile on Sunday, May 26. Joining forces with London Marathon Events, Special Olympics Great Britain has been offered a dedicated wave within the Vitality Westminster Mile as part of the event’s commitment to highlighting social inclusion.
