There are many ways to fundraise for Special Olympics GB, whether it's jumping out of a plane, running a marathon or organising a cake sale or a dress down day in your office.
You can join our exciting fundraising campaign, Road to Victory!
We have chosen 50 great sporting challenges that offer something for everyone from the super sporty to the complete beginner.
Visit our Road to Victory page for details. Many of the events have different venues across the country and different distances and difficulties to choose from, so do visit their websites. For example, the Great Run Swim series, Spartan Races, Wolf Runs, Tough Mudder, The Colour Run.
Here is a list of 'Road To Victory' challenge events for you to choose from. Please note that most of these run races of varying distances and difficulty on the same day. For example, 5k and 10k, or Marathon and Half Marathon. Also some challenge events, like Spartan Races or Wolf Runs, have race days in other locations.
Celebrating 40 years with 40-themed fundraising challenges
Here are some ideas of challenges to raise money for and awareness of Special Olympics GB and its 40th anniversary. To maximise the impact, you could organise your colleagues into teams—by department, by site, by position or randomly select teams to mix colleagues from different departments. 40 people raising £40 each totals £1,600! If your company has many locations, you can add the challenge of being the team/department/site to raise the most, be the most creative. Not all the challenges need to be physical!
If you don't find a challenge that appeals, please contact Jessica Pointon who will help you find something local to you.
We welcome your own ideas for fun challenges in aid of our charity and the opportunity to make a real difference. Download our fundraising pack for advice about the best ways to raise money, share your stories and be part of our team! Once you are signed up you will receive support from our events and fundraising team.
