Special Olympics Great Britain warmly welcomes Matt Price to our National Office team as Network Development Manager (Workforce) to support our incredible team of devoted volunteers.

Matt will be Special Olympics GB’s lead contact for the 3,500 volunteers who play such an instrumental role in delivering our programmes across the country. He will also take a lead role in expanding the volunteer base as part of our plans to create even more opportunities for children and adults with an intellectual disability to take part in our sporting programmes.

With more than 10 years' experience in sports development, Matt joins Special Olympics GB from the role of Club Development and Social Sport Manager at the University of Bath. Here, he worked closely with student volunteers, leaders and coaches to enhance their knowledge and experience through training, events and workshops. Matt also assisted the University sports clubs with funding applications, capital projects and engaging with local community clubs.

Prior to this, the Plymouth Marjon University Sports Development and Coaching graduate worked as Plymouth Development Coordinator at Active Devon where he supported clubs and volunteers within the county to develop opportunities for more people to get active through sport and physical activity.

Matt lives in the South West with his wife Nicky and dog Eddie. Outside of work, he’s very passionate about Rugby, Golf, Skiing and Cycling and enjoys travelling and cooking.
