
Special Olympics Great Britain is delighted to announce the appointment of Amanda Fleet and Louise Doe to our Network team to support our membership and accredited programmes across the country, enhancing both club development and volunteer engagement.
Amanda, who has been appointed as the new Clubs & Compliance Officer, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for inclusive, accessible sporting environments, having a strong background in transforming sporting opportunities across Scotland,
As a lifelong sports enthusiast and dedicated advocate for community sport, Amanda has worked with multiple national sports organisations with the University of Highlands & Islands, and has hands-on experience at grassroots level. Her role at Special Olympics GB will focus on programme accreditation, developing club resources, enhancing communication and relationships, and strengthening operational compliance across the network.
Louise joins as Volunteer Development Officer having both professional expertise and a deep personal connection to the Special Olympics movement, as a long-standing member of Special Olympics Delaware in the United States.
Her extensive experience in volunteer management, combined with a heartfelt understanding of the power of sport to change lives, makes her uniquely equipped to support our volunteer community. Louise’s initial areas of focus will include volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition, alongside compliance processing and developing robust support structures for our volunteer network.
