Special Olympics GB is absolutely delighted to announce that we have been selected as one of 12 charities for a major global gaming fundraising event - Jingle Jam.

Now in its 12th year, Jingle Jam aims to bring together the whole gaming community in what will be an epic and emotional event running from the 1st - 14th of December 2022, as streamers across the globe raise funds for 12 deserving charitable projects while sharing the hugely popular Jingle Jam Games Collection.

Colin Dyer, CEO of Special Olympics GB, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as one of this year’s charities for Jingle Jam 2022 against stiff competition. Many thanks to everyone involved at Jingle Jam and The Yogscast for giving Special Olympics GB this amazing opportunity. Not only will this help raise awareness of our organisation and the work we do transforming the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through the power of sport, but all funds raised will help provide the best possible support for a team of Special Olympics GB athletes to represent Great Britain at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin next summer. We cannot wait to see Jingle Jam 2022 in action.”

Lewis Brindley, Co-Founder of Jingle Jam and The Yogscast, said: “We always look forward to this time of year - it’s so great to see everyone pitching in to raise an incredible sum of money for some amazing causes. We have some fantastic projects this year and the money raised through the generosity of the gaming community will have a massive impact. We want 2022 to be the biggest year ever - and to do this we need to get even more people involved in streaming their own Jingle Jam streams during the first two weeks of December.”

How it works:

Special live events and games will be broadcast on the front page of Twitch.tv for the duration of the event - offering a global focal point for the collection, the companies participating and the charities being supported. Game publishers and developers can get involved by including their games in the collection, which is given to anyone who donates £35 or more.

Last year also saw 215 community fundraisers as other creators, charities and games companies ran their own Jingle Jam streams, raising over £480,000.

This year anyone will be able to register from 1 December on Tiltify and take part.
